Dialectal name for broomrape. Once considered a real pest for broad beans crops, this mushroom has found in Alberobello, many culinary uses. Its bitter taste is enjoyed in many recipes, the most common is boiled, then seasoned with mint, vinegar, olive oil and garlic.
